This lavishly illustrated book presents the first complete overview of the life and works of one of Singapore's important early artists. Through a combination of photographs, text and pictures, the book explores Cheen Tee's formative years and his progression into a respected artist. It provides a comprehensive selection of the artist's major works, featuring more than 280 works that he executed from 1952 to his death in 1996.

Apart from drawing on a wide range of the artist's works to present a feast of lines and colours, this book also offers for the first time a unique perspective on the life and work of one of Singapore's important but unsung pioneer artists.
